The Art Institute of Tucson Gallery
Goals and Mission
The Art Institute of Tucson Gallery serves as a non-commercial exhibition space for professionals, faculty, students, and alumni. The goals of the Gallery are:
To inspire students through a selection of a variety artistic concepts and media
To enrich the learning community at The Art Institute of Tucson through exhibitions that demonstrate excellence and cultural significance in the arts
To increase public awareness of The Art Institute of Tucson
To contribute to the Tucson arts community through providing a venue for local and national artists
The Gallery is located on the first floor of The Art Institute and is open without charge to the public on Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Exhibit Schedule
The Art Institute mounts four to five shows each year in the gallery. Each exhibit is celebrated with a reception to which the public, students, faculty, and staff, are invited. The receptions are often combined with an Artist Lecture, which is scheduled within the time frame of the exhibition. To be added to the mailing list for Gallery invitations, the public is invited to send an email with their name and mailing address to lchappel@aii.edu, putting Gallery in the subject line.
